About the Founder

My name is Dhea Pushpraj, and I founded Ujala World because I believe compassion becomes meaningful when it is put into action. Growing up, I learned that care is not only a feeling. It is something we practice. It is the choice to show up, to stay present, and to support others with dignity and respect.

My work has always centered on compassionate care and service. When I learned that financial barriers were forcing girls to leave school, I raised the funds needed to help girls continue their education. What began as a small effort quickly became a sustained commitment to stand beside them as they learn and grow.

Ujala World is rooted in that commitment. It do not simply provide assistance. It builds relationships. It listens. It encourages each girl to move forward with confidence in her own potential.

This work is about ensuring that circumstances do not decide someone’s future. It is about honoring strength, nurturing hope, and walking with one another in the direction of possibility.
